My name is Nacin Fernandez, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in South Florida with over eight years of experience providing compassionate, bilingual clinical services and leadership in the social work and mental health fields. I specialize in delivering evidence-based care, supervising emerging professionals, and fostering organizational excellence through trauma-informed practices.

I earned my Associate’s, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degree in social work and am currently pursuing my Doctor of Social Work (expected graduation August 2027). I have been recognized for my contributions to the field, receiving multiple awards, including the NASW Social Work Student of the Year and various leadership and performance accolades throughout my career.

My approach emphasizes skill-building, ethical practice, and self-care, ensuring that social workers under my supervision are equipped to meet the demands of our profession while maintaining resilience.

Expertise in Mental Health and Evidence-Based Practices: I am proficient in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and grief counseling techniques. I ensure that my supervisees are equipped to apply these approaches effectively in their practice.

Leadership Experience: As a seasoned leader, I have held roles such as Clinical Director, Behavioral Health Services Manager, and Program Manager for multidisciplinary teams. I have successfully overseen programs that support individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses, developed and trained staff, and ensured compliance with state and regulatory standards.
